Hello,
I have a problem whereby my application will not maximize when launched outside of the Delphi IDE. During development in the IDE the app maximizes as expected.
When my app is launched outside of the IDE, however, and maximized, there is a border surrounding the app which reveals whatever happened to be behind my app. And if I click on that border, whatever app was there is brought to the foreground.
My app will just not fully maximize unless it is launched from within the Delphi IDE.
I’ve tried a number of things attempting to adjust the Options.Scalemode on the sSkinManager component, but nothing I try has helped.
Thoughts / Suggestions?
I’m running v14.21, XE6, Windows 10

Could you show it somehow, please?
Maybe screenshot or demo-app?
April 16, 2019 at 5:39 pm #59372slkeyserParticipantAye Yai Yai! I can’t believe I have to offer up another mea culpa.
In the process of preparing a small demo app to illustrate my form-maximize problem, I discovered something really odd.
I use a FileExplorer replacement program, one I’ve been using for years. It turns out that when I launch a skinned app from this particular FileExplorer program, the maximize problem happens. If I launch my app from the standard Windows FileExplorer, the problem does not happen. Also, if I launch my app from a windows shortcut, the problem does not happen.
Now, puzzling, other commercial apps which I launch from my replacement FileExplorer seem to maximize properly. It’s just my skinned apps which seem to have this problem. But that’s not your problem. It’s a problem with my FileExplorer replacement app.
So, once again, thanks for your quick reply and my apologies for not identifying this earlier.

April 18, 2019 at 4:27 pm #59375slkeyserParticipantI use Xplorer2 – v2.1.0.2.
But here’s the thing. I’m using an old version. I upgraded from v1.x to 2.x in January 2012. The developer, Zabkat, has since released a version 3.x in 2015, and a version 4.x in 2018. I never upgraded from my v2.x because, well, it’s been working fine for me.
I will probably upgrade to version 4.x soon. If I do I’ll post an update to this ticket as to whether or not is resolves my app-launch problem.

My launch unable-to-maximize problem was not resolved.
So, if you download the xplorer2 demo, you will probably see the same problem.

April 25, 2019 at 5:16 am #59395SupportKeymasterHello
I have tried xplorer2, but don't see a problem.
Can you try the ASkinDemo.exe there? http://www.alphaskins.com/sfiles/askindemo.zip
The issue is repeated in ASkinDemo.exe on your side?
