Because the up and down buttons in TcxSpinEdit are skinned as real buttons, in stead of a special up/down button as in TsSpinEdit, they don't look good in a number of skins. For example in the DarkGlass and BlueGlass skins, the borders make the icons disappear:

In some other skins, the icons are too big for the space available in their buttons:

In yet other skins the arrows are not/hardly visible

My suggestion is to use a specially crafted up/down arrow in stead of the simulated ones.

February 28, 2015 at 12:18 pm #53124SupportKeymasterHello!
I have tested it with DevExpress v12.1.6, 14.1.2 and newer. I will try it with old version now.
Also, checked with DevExpress v6.54

I use DevExpr v11.2.9 (v2011 vol 2.9)
But I don't think it has much to do with the DevExpr version.
March 12, 2015 at 7:31 am #53201SupportKeymasterHi, maybe I not quite understand an issue. Look attached recompiled demo, this is what I have.

All right. Choose the BlueGlass skin. See that the up/down buttons are too small to accommodate clearly visible arrows/triangles.
Therefore I suggested to combine up/down icon in one icon with special processing according to the location where the icon is clicked.
PS. How are things in Odessa? I heard about the bomb attack. Must be disturbing.
March 12, 2015 at 7:55 pm #53209SupportKeymasterThese bomb attacks happens every week.
Ok, I will check these buttons with all skins.

I didn't know that. I sympathize with you. Keep it up and cheers.

March 30, 2015 at 11:44 am #53256SupportKeymasterSome improvements will be added in the v10.02
But some old skins must be updated (must be added or improved UpDown skin section). I will do it later.

July 3, 2015 at 5:24 am #53576SupportKeymasterChanges exists in this version of the package, but some skins should be changed or updated, seems.
I have equal images of TcxSpinEdit and TsSpinEdit in your test-app.
Look screenshots, is it correct?

They all look OK, except for the second one (the blueish one). Although its up/down arrows are complete, they are so crammed in their button surface, that they become misformed. That's why I suggested to combine the up/down arrows in one bitmap.

These skins were updated, look them:

I suppose the Sand skin is double
I enlarged the sample with the BlueIce skin a couple of times, to show you the trouble with TcxSpinEdit:
[attachment=7203:EnlargedSpinEdit.jpg]
As you can see, the shadows and highlights of the buttons themselves interfere with the correct drawing of the arrows. Especially the Up arrow seems to be drawn too far up, thereby loosing its tip.
There are more skins (Smokey for example) that have similar trouble.
The new black box skin has arrows, that in TcxSpinEdit are hardly visible.
You have not reacted to my suggestion to change the two buttons of the TcxSpinEdit to one button with an up and a down side and one up/down combined icon. Because there's so little space, that might be better. That said, most skins work OK though.
Thanks!

That's a bit better, indeed. Have a look at the smoky skin. The arrows are almost unnoticeable.
