Hi,

We are a company from Melbourne city, Australia.

We are in the process of evaluating the skinning features and components,
including the data-aware components.

We have an existing application that uses components from several parties.

We can skin all the components by adding them into the skin manager third
party list.

We found that some components are skinned better than the others. However,
Alpha Controls components seem to be skinned best. We want to convert
everything to use Alpha stuff.

Among components that the application uses is a database grid component.
It has more features than the standard VCL database grid. For examples,
we can click on a column to sort the data in the grid etc. This grid
component works quite well.

However, we are wondering if you plan to release a database grid in the
near future? As Alpha Controls components would render better and faster
with Alpha skins?

Thank you for your reply. We are aware of those components. The
db control grid in there does not even come close to what we need.

Anyway, we are not in the business of developing components. We
are writing applications.

As I understood, you talks about writing new control – enhanced, skinned grid?
I'm not sure that such control will be added into the package soon, maybe you can use TDBAdvGrid by TMS or DevExpress Quantum grid?
