    Hi,

I just wonder if there's a way where I can choice for a thirdparty component which color it should use? For example, if I use TSynEdit the color will be always white no matter what color values I set. I want to set my own color but also would like to have Skinmanager handle the scrollbar theming of TSynedit.

In the moment I just can:

Let Skinmanager handle all theming for TSynEdit but then it had a control color of white. Or I disable theming for TSynedit set my own control color different from white but then windows themes the scrollbar which doesn't look quite consistent when I use a skin for an application though.

    Any ideas?

    regards

    Hello

You can make additional skin section in the TsSkinManager.CommonSections property and define a required color for this section.

When you will have such section, you can define this section to be used in SynEdit control.

    I'll make a demo now.

I have made another demo, without CommonSections property using.

I think, this way may be easier for your case.

PS. This topic will be moved to “Tricks” soon.

The example you attached doesn't work. On Vista 32bit there's no main form visible when you run the program.
