RobertCParticipant
Any news? I’ve still got my fingers crossed for you.
Hoping for the best, Rob C
RobertCParticipantGlad to hear you are alright.
Take care, Rob C
RobertCParticipantThanks! I appreciate the rapid response.
RobertCParticipantHi again, I believe this issue is back. I’m comparing 15.15 to 14.37 and I have the same problem (in this same project) where the button caption font colour is changing to Black instead of Yellow as in 14.37 when the mouse passes over the button. I have Delphi 10.3.3 running 14.37 and Delphi 14.4.1 running 15.15. Both are 64-bits if that makes a difference.
I’m looking at the properties but not seeing anything to change. Does anyone have any ideas on what to try to fix this?
Thanks, Rob C
RobertCParticipantThe actual error message screenshot is attached to this post.

RobertCParticipantJust curious, I see that version 14.26 is out today. Has this problem been addressed since I reported it? I haven’t seen a reference to it in the notes, but that doesn’t mean you haven’t fixed it.
Just curious, thanks, Rob C
RobertCParticipantVery cool! Thanks, I can wait for the regular update and then switch to that when it comes.
You are the best, cheers, Rob C
RobertCParticipantTrying again as a zip file. Fingers crossed!

RobertCParticipantTrying again. This is a docx file with two screen snippets inside.

RobertCParticipantSure thing, attached is a picture with my game compiled with 14.14 and the hovered-over button caption shows as yellow. I then uninstall AlphaControls and install version 14.15 (both are 64-bit) and recompile the game. The hovered-over button caption now shows as black. This happens for all 5 buttons on this particular form, but not for any form that I have found yet. I searched the source in my game for hours to try and spot the problem but I am completely stuck. I tried several other versions since 14.14 up to 14.29 IIRC and they all have the same problem.
Right now I'm trying to eliminate obvious issues and I'm stuck!
Thanks again, Rob C
RobertCParticipantI had this problem too using AlphaControls 14.28, Delphi 10.2.3 Tokyo, 64-bit, with FastMM compiled in. Disabling FastMM “fixed” my problem too. This is very weird!
This tip was absolutely invaluable as I was starting to tear my hair out!
Thanks, Rob C
RobertCParticipantThanks for the speedy reply. I will check 14.28 vs 14.27 again and look at sDefaults.pas file too.

Are you sure that version of the AlphaControls is 14.28? Not 14.27?
For solving the issue, open the sDefaults.pas file and change the acAllowLatestCommonDialogs to False.
But this variable should be False in v14.28 already.

Ha! It works perfectly now of course. I must have read that list of properties 5 times and missed the significance of this one!
Thanks for the speedy reply. Rob C
RobertCParticipantA new property like this would be very helpful. Then when I am ready to show it I can turn it on again and give it a try.
Thank you very much, Rob C
